En quittant la France j’avais un but : me servir de cette aventure en Nouvelle-Zélande comme tremplin vers ma nouvelle vie de photographe indépendant.
Au moment de décoller de Paris j’avais dans mes bagages 2 domaines de photos bien distinct sur lesquels j’allais me concentrer : le portrait et l’événement.
A mon arrivée en Nouvelle-Zélande tout a été très vite.
Lundi : arrivée à Auckland
Mardi : Je me promène dans le CDB, je vois un restaurant au style bien français, je prends mon courage à 2 mains et je vais leur exposer mon projet photo concernant les expatriés français. Je repars avec une carte de visite et le nom du patron à qui j’envoie un mail le soir même.
Mercredi : Rendez-vous avec le patron, Edouard. Il me raconte son parcours, comment il en est arrivé là, à vivre depuis plusieurs années en Nouvelle-Zélande. Il me parle d’un évènement qu’il organise le lendemain soir où je pourrai venir faire des photos. J’accepte immédiatement.
Jeudi soir : Je suis photographe à mon 1er évènement pour un professionnel. En moins d’une semaine !
Je m’étais fixé un but, celui de me servir de cette expérience au bout du monde comme tremplin. Grâce à ce projet c’est réussi et ça me met sur le bon chemin pour la suite !
Croyez en vos rêves. Croyez en vous et surpassez vous, vous ne le regretterez pas !

When I left France I had one goal: to use this adventure in New Zealand as a springboard to my new life as a freelance photographer.
When I took off from Paris I had two distinct areas of photography in my luggage on which I was going to focus: portrait and event.
When I arrived in New Zealand everything went very fast.
Monday : Arrival in Auckland
Tuesday : I walk around the CDB, I see a restaurant with a very French style, I take my courage in both hands and I'm going to show them my photo project about French expatriates. I leave with a business card and the name of the boss to whom I send an email the same evening.
Wednesday : Meeting with the boss, Edouard. He tells me about his background, how he got to this point, living in New Zealand for a few years. He tells me about an event he's organizing the next evening where I can come and take pictures. I accept immediately.
Thursday night : I'm a photographer at my first event for a professional. In less than a week!
I had set myself a goal, to use this experience at the end of the world as a springboard. Thanks to this project it's a success and it puts me on the right path for the future!
Believe in your dreams. Believe in yourself and surpass yourself, you won't regret it!
